Bought a boat somewhere else, or need yours moved for the season? Simon plans the passage, gets the boat ready and takes her there by water.
A delivery is a passage with a deadline, on a boat that is not your own. Good ones are mostly preparation: the right weather window, a boat checked before she leaves, and a plan for when things go wrong.
From the Saint John River down through the Bay of Fundy's tides, along the coast or offshore, the job is the same: the boat arrives in the condition she left, with a record of the trip.
What is included
- A passage plan with route, stops and weather windows
- A check before departure: rig, engine, steering and safety gear
- Crew as the trip needs it
- A handover on arrival, noting anything found on the way
What Simon needs from you
- Where the boat is now and where she is going
- Make, model, length, draft and air draft (mast height)
- Engine hours and the last service
- Your insurer and policy details
- Any known problems, however small
- Your timing, and how firm it is

How far will Simon take a boat?
River, coastal and offshore passages. Give him the start and end points and he will tell you what the trip involves.
Can I come along as crew?
Ask. Owners who come along learn a lot about their own boat.
What if the boat is not ready for the trip?
That is what the check before departure is for. Simon will tell you what needs fixing before she leaves, and can quote the repair.
How is a delivery priced?
Every trip is different. Distance, the boat, the season and the crew needed all count. Ask for a quote.
